The desires you followed when you didn’t know better.

“As God’s obedient children, never again shape your lives by the desires that you followed when you didn’t know better.  Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. For Scripture says: “You are to be holy because I am holy.”1 Peter‬ ‭1:14-16‬ ‭TPT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

What type of desires are you manifesting as a child of God?

Some are exhibiting things that clearly by their fruits are not of God.

You are burning strange incense on the altar of God.

They carry over the things of the world into the kingdom of God

Jesus, our Lord, and Savior, is the truth.

“He never sinned, and he never spoke deceitfully.”1 Peter‬ ‭2:22‬ ‭TPT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

How come the lies and deceitfulness in the Church?

Where is the tendency to manipulate and put others down coming from?

When it is all about you alone shining?

If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Don’t let the old man in the flesh rule

Completely nail it to the Cross

Get rid of the various worldly desires

Don’t let the spirit of mammon drive your program in the Church of God.

Do God’s assignment the way God has directed.

“But give reverent honor in your hearts to the Anointed One and treat him as the holy Master of your lives. And if anyone asks about the hope living within you, always be ready to explain your faith.” ‭1 Peter‬ ‭3:15‬ ‭TPT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Are you honoring God with what you are doing?

Recheck your inner heart, where is that desire coming from?
