Double Standards

Double Standards
“Jesus replied, “I worked on the Sabbath by healing a man, and you were surprised. But you work on the Sabbath, too, whenever you obey Moses’ law of circumcision (actually, however, this tradition of circumcision is older than the Mosaic law); for if the correct time for circumcising your children falls on the Sabbath, you go ahead and do it, as you should. So why should I be condemned for making a man completely well on the Sabbath?” John 7:21-23 (TLB)
Are you engaged in double standards like the Pharisees?
Are you condemning but on the other hand justifying yourself for your actions?
It was okay for them to break the law by performing circumcision on the Sabbath, but it was not good for Jesus to heal.
You can identify the lousy dressing in that sister but are all the clothes in your wardrobe compliant with the Holy Spirits guidelines?
You know all the faults in that brother about why he can’t be a good husband to that sister, are you faithful in your marriage?
At your workplace, you know all the wrong workers, and if an X-ray is done on your output, will it pass the productivity test?
You know the stingy couple that doesn’t give, are you complete in your giving as God directs you?
Jesus solution was to focus on the purpose for which God had sent Him by healing the sick man.
Your focus today is to do what God has assigned you to do.
Don’t be a hypocrite or join the club of the naysayers.
Determine today to be like your Savior, who went about doing good.
“Jesus of Nazareth was anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and with great power. He did wonderful things for others and divinely healed all who were under the tyranny of the devil,[a for God had anointed him.”              Acts 10:38(TPT)
Examine yourself that you have first healed yourself of what you are about to point out and correct in another person.
Don’t be a hypocrite.                                                  Don’t use double standards.
