Yet will I never be offended?.

Yet will I never be offended?.

“Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.” Matt. 26:33. (KJV).

Have you ever told your friends you will not ever do something?

Then something happens.

You let them down.

You did what you promised never to do.

Maybe you promised to keep a secret.

You did not.

Maybe you promised not to tell on somebody.

But you did.

Why did you not keep your promise?

It is easy to judge Peter.

What would you do if you were in his position?

Will you ever betray Jesus?

Be careful of what you say.

Be even more careful of what you do.

Peter could have prayed more after Jesus warned him.

Be more prayerful.

No matter your offense, God will forgive you.

Judas and Peter both betrayed Jesus.

Judas did not ask for forgiveness

He self judged himself and committed suicide.

Peter sought forgiveness and repented.

Whatever happens, do not commit suicide.

God is always loving and ready to forgive.

Repent and turn it all over to Jesus.

Application to the Christian life:

Ask God to protect you.

Ask Him to help you to remain faithful to Him.

 Do not fear people.

Trust God.
