In a discussion

by | Nov 30, 2020

“They were in the midst of a discussion about all the events of the last few days when Jesus walked up and accompanied them in their journey.  They were unaware that it was Jesus walking alongside them, for God prevented them from recognizing him.” Luke 24:14-16(TPT)
Can Jesus join the discussion that is going on between you and your friends?
Is the content of your group chat inviting to the Lord to participate.
Some time ago, you saw the poster, “Jesus is the silent listener in this home.”
That was meant to remind the discussants in that house that Jesus is listening.
Much more beyond listening to Jesus:
HE wants to participate and guide.
God is available to give understanding and purpose to your discussions.
“Then those who feared the LORD [with awe-filled reverence] spoke to one another, and the LORD paid attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who fear the LORD [with an attitude of reverence and respect] and who esteem His name.”
Malachi 3:16(AMP)
“Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.” Malachi 3:16(NIV)
Carry out your discussions in fear of the Lord.
God will honor it and make it rewarding.
David also knew this.
“Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.” Psalm 50:23 (KJV)
Whether privately or openly, allow God to be in your discussion.
