Prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and the LORD is with him.

Then one of the young men said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a mighty man of valor, a warrior, one prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and the LORD is with him.”  1 Samuel 16:18
David’s other attributes included been prudent in speech
He thinks before he speaks.
Some of us speak first before thinking.
Prudence is defined as showing discretion or shrewdness in the management of affairs, skill and good judgment in the use of resources frugality caution or circumspection with…
How is your manner of speaking? Do you speak before thinking?
Remember Nabal, Abigail’s foolish husband (1 Samuel 25.)  He was regarded as foolish because he just spoke anyhow.  Don’t be like that.
David was also described as a handsome man.
Appearance matters before God.
Make yourself presentable before God and fellow human beings. We were all created in the image of God. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you are wonderfully made and likewise carry yourself as a true representative of God even physically.
Mosses said if God’s presence did not go with him he would not move.
David obviously enjoyed the presence of God even before his public presentation as an anointed king of Israel.
Even when he fell into sin (Psalm 51) he describes how terribly he felt outside God.
Make sure that in all that you do in life God’s presence is with you
As we see in David’s testimony above the LORD is with him.
God is with you as you obey him and walk in his presence
You need to cultivate the habit of enjoying God’s presence.
If God be for you who can be against you? Nobody.
Walk with HIM today in all you do
