When the heavens are shut up …

by | May 31, 2017

“When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them,  then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of Your servants, Your people Israel, that You may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on Your land which You have given to Your people as an inheritance.”  2 Chronicles 6:26-27
God has always been reaching out to mankind whenever man misses God.
HE is always responding not casting away man, so whatsoever you are going through today God is nearer to you than ever.
However HE wants you to turn away from your sin.
We all know when there is no dew or rain to water the soil it becomes hard, the flowers die the whole environment becomes dusty and stagnant
When heaven is shut against you, you become dusty, touchy ,very irritated at every little thing because you are not experiencing the freshness that comes from God.
Sin makes heaven to shut down on our lives.
When Adam and Eve sinned they were cut off from God.
Sin wants you to avoid fellowshipping with God
Whatever it’s in your life today drawing you away from God be reminded that you can overcome it.
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
Don’t stay fixed   in your state of stagnancy .Get UP.
The scriptures say if you had fallen six or seven times don’t give up.
Confess your sins, repent of them and pray to God and HE will hear you, forgive and restore back to you.
How is the heaven over you today open or shut up?
