Do not turn aside to the left or the right.

“Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem…And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.” 2 Kings 22:1-2
Josiah was a focused person. He was not distracted .He did what was right by following God all the way.
He did not try to be a little to the left and a little to the right that some people do thereby dancing between two opinions.
The path to following Christ is Straight, Predictable and Narrow.
How are you following Christ today? . Don’t turn aside to the left or right.
The maxim of “when you are in Rome do like the Romans” do is not Bible based.
Do not compromise your stand for God on any issue. Be a reliable child of God in all issues of life.
As King Josiah was able to follow the good example of King David so also we are more blessed to have Jesus as our perfect example to emulate in all issues.
Take time to find the mind of God on all issues of life you may be facing.
Don’t be a people pleaser by oscillating between opinions.
Be a true disciple of Christ and you should be able to say like Paul follow me as I follow Christ “ Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:1
Don’t turn aside to the left or right
