Even if mothers forget

by | Sep 13, 2017

“Can a mother forget the infant at her breast, walk away from the baby she bore? But even if mothers forget, I’d never forget you – never. Look, I’ve written your names on the backs of my hands.”Isaiah 49:15-16A

A woman came in to the train with a stroller with a baby inside it.
After taking her seat she carefully turned the baby away from her to apparently face the other passengers in the train and for almost 25 minutes she was on the phone with someone and did not even cast one glance at the baby nor appeared to have heard the sounds and the baby’s movements in the stroller.  I was not only puzzled but I asked my self what mother or even a nanny will go out with an innocent baby and would not for a second take a look at how the baby is doing?
Sometimes adult who quarrel with each other could seat next to each other without looking at each other’s face. Some husbands and wives could occasionally do that.
However for a woman to take out a young baby and not take a glance is unsettling. That baby has been entrusted to her care.
It comforting to know that  God does not do that to us when we go out with Him. When we are in His presence  the banner of love HE has over us means HE is looking at us ,connecting with us whenever and wherever we are and HE definitely takes better care of us. He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love [for love waved as a protecting and comforting banner over my head when I was near him].” Song of Solomon 2:4

He says ” I will never leave you nor forsake you”. And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Be assured that as you continue in His presence HE is adoringly looking at you and paying you utmost attention.

Do not fear nor be dismayed.
