Blessed are you when people insult you…

Blessed are you when people insult you…
“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, lie, and say all kinds of evil things about you because of me.” Matthew 5:11(GW)
Really?
Am I blessed when people deliberately insult me?
Yes.
You are blessed when the insult and accusations are based on your faith.

Challenges of life include people saying false things about you.

It hurts more when it is coming from the people you trust and rely on:
The brethren that you are of the same faith, fellowship, ministry, and church are those behind the falsehood.
Our perfect example, the Author and Finisher of our Faith, says you are Blessed.
Don’t react in the flesh.

The more you try to clear yourself using logic and common sense, the deeper you hurt yourself.
You are not the first person that will be wrongly accused, and you won’t be the last.
Turn over everything to God and allow Him to direct you step by step.
“with gentleness and respect. Maintain a clean conscience, so that those who slander you for living a pure life in Christ will have to lie about you and will be ashamed because of their slander” 1 Peter 3:16(TPT)

Be consistent in your walk in the faith.

Don’t give up your purposeful life because of people who don’t understand you.
The truth will always come up no matter how slow it may seem.
“The LORD is fighting for you! So be still!” Exodus 14:14(GW)
Again don’t descend into their level.
Don’t start making a tour of going round to explain your side of the story.
Actually, you may just be letting some people know for the first time what the gossip was about in your bid to “clear the air.”
“But I promise you, no weapon meant to hurt you will succeed, and you will refute every accusing word spoken against you. This promise is the inheritance of Yahweh’s servants, and their vindication is from me,” says Yahweh.” Isaiah 54:17(TPT)

Keep doing the right thing God has instructed you to do.
Their false stories and rumors are to distract you.
Remember Nehemiah when he was building the wall.
Sanballat and Tobiah are always around. (Nehemiah 4-6)
Stay focused on your call.
Never join the gossip prayer meeting.
Don’t enjoy the negative stories about others.
If another child of your father truly falls, pray and restore such.
(Galatians 6)
“How ecstatic you can be when people insult and persecute you and speak all kinds of cruel lies about you because of your love for me!” Matthew 5:11 (TPT)
